The Shoeshine Outside the Muddy Park

There’s a man who sets up his shoeshine stall outside a muddy park.

He gets there early, wipes the chair dry, and waits.

By the time joggers finish their laps, their shoes are splattered.

One by one, they stop.

He doesn’t call out.

He doesn’t need to.

The need walks up to him.

Every city has someone like that. . .

someone who quietly builds their work

around the mess everyone else avoids.

That’s all positioning really is.

Not shouting the loudest,

just standing where the problem shows up first.

I’m a commercial writer and a content development expert who’s spent 9+ years figuring out why people read, react, remember, or just stare blankly at their screens (trust me, I’ve seen it all). Every 2 weeks, I take one juicy insight from this exploration and turn it into something you can actually use. Think of it as a shortcut through all the trial-and-error I’ve endured. Everything I picked up (the hard way), distilled just for you.
